Paprika is the dried, ground pods of sweet red peppers. It is mild and slightly sweet with a pleasant, fragrant aroma. Spanish Paprika is sweet with no heat at all. Sprinkle on fish, meats, canapes, eggs, soups, sauces and potatoes. Used in generous quantities, it is the main ingredient in Hungarian goulash and chicken or veal paprika. It is a colourful garnish for light coloured foods and gives colour as well as a sweet capsicum flavour.
